When it comes to big grizzly bears or dangerous wolves, it may seem as though they know how to fend for themselves. Whatever nature brings their way, this appears to be their destiny. They seem to instinctively know what to do in maneuvering dangerous feats that living in the wild brings their way. Sometimes, however, these animals actually need a little helping hand. Whether that helping hand comes from instincts of knowing how to think on their feet, or if it means a human stepping in to lend some help, there are sweet stories of survival in the midst. Following are two such stories. One involves a bear, her cubs, and a frozen lake. The other has to do with a man lending a helpful hand to a wolf.
