The year 2022 has only just begun, so now is the time to set some goals for the coming year!

Setting new year’s goals can be motivating. Still, it can also be extremely useful for all of the things we wanted to get done the previous year. However, as Ross Mathews is well aware, we couldn’t go for various reasons.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race judge observed, “Resolutions have always been a prescription for implosion.” “I’ve been on television for over 20 years, and I’ve always joked that I’m a weight detective, but my life has changed dramatically in the last year and a half. I’m ecstatic with how far I’ve progressed.”

Ross didn’t change his mind until 2020 when the pandemic struck. Thanks to WW, formerly Weight Watchers, the actor has lost 60 pounds and improved his relationship with food. This is undoubtedly on many people’s New Year’s resolutions list.

“Over the years, I’ve had a lot of broken promises,” the podcast host admitted. “However, in June of 2020, after losing my mother unexpectedly at the end of May, I realized how valuable everything is.” “It may sound cliched, but the pandemic put us all in perspective, and my own tragic loss added to the mix. I decided that I wanted to stay as long as possible—I’m going to do everything I can to ensure that I can stay here—and the only thing I had control over was my health.”

Whether you’re an experienced weight investigator or someone who simply wants to improve their diet, getting started is usually the most difficult stage. We often feel it compelled to give up everything to achieve the body we’ve always desired, depriving ourselves of the pleasures of delicious food. On the other hand, Ross pointed out that changing your diet does not necessitate eating bland, unappealing foods.

He shared with us his own health issues, saying, “It wasn’t as if we had to say our final goodbyes to everything. This isn’t about ending your relationship with pizza. It was all about establishing a bond with food. WW taught me that I can reflect on the real world and don’t have to give up everything I enjoy. It all comes down to learning to get along with other people and things. I’d like to be able to attend events and have a drink and a snack without becoming completely disoriented. What you learn in WW, however, is that mistakes are unavoidable, and all you need now are the skills to get back on track.”
